Here is some combat air assault footage taken by an Americal Division soldier that was effectively edited for You Tube.  The comments from the man on the camera are as follows --

The birds picked us up at Firebase Liz, flew over Bronco and landed on Easter Sunday. Nice ride on a Huey, no doors and our legs hanging out at 5,000". Bad day, Alpha Company less than a click a way got hit and lost a bunch of good soldiers. We were on standbye for support, but the battle didn't last long. NVA regulars using 51 cal, shot down a Huey and then overran the day camp.

I shot this with the camera in one hand and the hand on my 16. Kinda stupid, but then I was young and Born to Be Wild!

the footage was good, however, the editing was pretty poorly done

Hey, you work with what you've got.  Hey, this guy was a grunt and he's not a professional video editor.  At any rate, sounds like he did all right for himself, notwithstanding.  From his bio --

In my late 50's, wife of 23+ years, somewhat successful in business, worked for big corporation then ran away. Retired for 2 years played golf everyday.

Served in Vietnam in 70/71 with the 23rd Infantry as a grunt. Was lucky enough to return home in one piece.

My daughter was MissUSA, wife looks like her sister. I met Donald Trump (owner of MissUSA/Universe several times and he stole my "Your Fired" line. You know your lucky when you invite Miss USA and Miss Universe to dinner at Spago's and they say yes. Wolfgang Puck came over to the table to say hi. I also have been a guest of Ann Margaret and Roger Smith in Vegas serveral times year ago.

I have had many toys: Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes, Corvette and golf cart with 700 watt 12 speakers, humidor, cooler, radar detector and satelite dish.

Currently live on the ocean in Florida.

Life Sucks, LOL.

Exceptionally high quality video of Ton Son Nhut airport operations in 1968, with period music, culminating with footage of the Tet attacks.
