Although realistic, Hamburger Hill and We Were Soldiers were just soooo damned depressing at times IMHO.......
I voted for A.Now but it was a tossup with FMJ....... Everyone is right, the last 30 minutes of A.N. were like a whole different movie and completely out of place.

Just for fun... hehe I'm going to close this and do a ReDux... so add any movies that are missed now. Smiley  I'll scour through and find them and add them to a new poll. Smiley

It was a toss up for me between "We were Soldiers Once" and "Full Metal Jacket."  Two other faves' are "Fire Base Gloria" and the lesser known "Platoon Leader."

I have heard good things about hamburger hill and plan on seeing it soon.

Actually, all the Vietnam movies listed are a good Hollywood movie. However, I want the good morning Vietnam's movie. It is a very nice movie from the Hollywood. And the artist behind, are really good.  And many people are enjoyed in that movie.

These are all great movies and another very early Vietnam movie I enjoyed was "Go Tell The Spartans".

In my opinion "Go Tell the Spartans" was superior to most of them.   Exclaim

FYI, the Film was based on this book:
